We tracked the drums for "Vladimir Guerrero" over the weekend. What does this mean? It means we're already working on new material without having done anything yet to release/promote the new LP.
So we're supposed to do some kind of big thing to launch the album-- some huge marketing stunt. But it hasn't happened yet. The Magna marketing staff is comprised of, well, the band.
The album is indeed complete. It's been complete for a while. We even pressed a bunch of copies. I've pretty much re-designed the site to match the new color scheme-- you'll see soon.
So if you're a committed Magnaphile (if you're reading this, you must be), let us know if you want a copy of the new album. You give us a little money, and we'll get it to you before it drops on the masses. You'll rip it and share it with all your friends who will be forever in your debt for having introduced them to Magna. Then when the album drops, one guy, feeling guilty, will buy it. But everyone else of course will already have it. And they'll be clamoring to see Magna in a live setting. After a bit of market research, we'll determine which cities we can extract the most money from. It will mostly be in the Mid-west. No one in California goes to shows. By then, all of Japan will be bubbling over in anticipation of a possible Far East tour.
And this all happened because you bought the album directly from us before it went wide. We're practically handing cred to you on a vinyl platter. What are you waiting for? Get on it.
